Today was a good day to learn how to make Paper Flowers. I had the pleasure of teaching some very talented ladies and 2 youngsters how to create several types of Paper Flowers at The Historical Society of Ocean Grove! We had fun and created a bit of a mess.....but it was a good mess!
Tonight happens to be the Illumination Night in Ocean Grove so I decided to decorate a paper lantern with Paper Flowers like what I taught in class today.

MACRAME or the art of creative knotting, may look difficult, but it's about as easy as tying your shoes and as inexpensive as a ball of twine! All you need to join the growing ranks of Macrame addicts are your fingers, some string, and the mastery of a few simple knots. If you have any special beads or shells that you would like to incorporate into your one of a kind piece please bring them and I will show you how to add it to your special p piece...
AUGUST 22TH MONDAY 10:30-1:00 EARRING WORKSHOP $30 ALL SUPPLIES INCLUDED
Learn the art of creating a variety of earrings and the proper use of basic jewelry tools to lake that special pair. If you have any special beads that you would like to use, bring them with you. I would also suggest strong glasses for up close work.
I hope you will think about coming out and trying a new craft or brushing up on your skills, I promise you will enjoy this relaxing day. My style is to introduce you to a new craft, teach you what I know, and to make sure you understand all you need to know so that when you get home you can continue advancing your skills and love a new craft.
I have many repeat students who make a day of it...after class you can go for lunch, at one of the many great places around town that I can recommend, or stop for great ice cream at one of 2 awesome places, spend the rest of your day on the beautiful beaches, or just stroll a round the town and stop in some of the great little shops!
