Vintage2Glam is my idea of reusing vintage goodies, and turning them into something Glam. I love taking vintage finds, and make them modern with wonderful colors and a vintage twist..... love to incorporate them into my own vintage inspired art an accessories. Pleased to say that my jewelry was worn my Ellen Burstyn in the movie "GRETA" starring Ellen and Hillary Duff filmed in historical town of Ocean Grove N.J.

Heart Art Day 1 of this VALENTINE WEEK!

So I decided I wanted to challenge myself to make a piece of art each day of this VALENTINE WEEK....and HEARTS of course are going to  be the theme.....

I thought why not make some ART outside on this beautiful day....                           and with all this white snow what a perfect canvas it will be......

so I gathered some sticks  from around my yard and made a heart....

then I thought what if I used some of my spray paints to create a heart.....
I have some empty spray bottles and added some of my favorite paints and
some water and instant spray paint.....

I wanted to break up the lines a bit so I took a piece of paper
and just  sliced into the heart...

then I wanted to add some PINK of course to the stick HEART!

and here is the 1st picture altered using picmonkey....
Hope you are planning to be CREATIVE  this VALENTINE'S WEEK!

Needed a little ART therapy today.......

Our Jan. 12th trip to Philly.............. Needed a little ART therapy so John and I  headed out to Philly.......well we really wanted to try this great restaurant we saw on Diners, Drive Inns and Dives........called the Memphis  Taproom in Philly....we saw some beer battered dill pickles and we thought they looked awesome so we really wanted to try them...........but to travel one hour and a half for a pickle???? so we thought we would turn our trip into a fun packed day..............We first started at the Reading Terminal Market in Philly

Had to  take John into the market...It is like no other................

fresh produce, meats, dairy, bakery...........you  name it they have it............

everything is displayed so nicely.........

had a nice lunch at   Molly Malloy"s.....

if you haven't been you must make the trip.............

even the streets were colorful.......art was all around us....

We wanted to go to the art museum so we went to PAFA the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts

this made me giggled.....

next we went next door to the Samuel M. V. Hamilton Building...and this was certainly a treat.

the colors in this painting were just so beautiful............and the way the velvet was painted was stunning......
this painting was painted in the 1800's and looked clearer the any photo today........just amazing how talented these artists were back in the day.....

this looked like the man was coming right out of the painting.......

we found  this awesome little galley in Philly called Projects Gallery and Helen Hyder the director could not have been kinder......she gave us the history of this artist named Alex Queral
he carves phone book, layers and layers of pages and creates these amazing pieces of art.... you have to check out his story........http://www.projectsgallery.com/Queral.html....

after our busy art filled day we headed over to Memphis Taproom
and here they are.....the most Delicious beer battered pickles........oh so worth the trip..........can't wait to go again and take our family and friends....What a great place, awesome food, a great bar....and super nice people.......
