Vintage2Glam is my idea of reusing vintage goodies, and turning them into something Glam. I love taking vintage finds, and make them modern with wonderful colors and a vintage twist..... love to incorporate them into my own vintage inspired art an accessories. Pleased to say that my jewelry was worn my Ellen Burstyn in the movie "GRETA" starring Ellen and Hillary Duff filmed in historical town of Ocean Grove N.J.

and mother nature is showing off all her gorgeous colors....
it is one of my favorite times of the year......

Here is some shots from around my neighborhood...

I always see a heart shaped cloud in this same area of the field............

last year I snapped this shot and of course fooled around with
the colors but look same cloud same spot...

hope Mother Nature doesn't get mad at me for having some fun with color.....

Hope you can get out and check out all she has to offer this time of year....
HAPPY FALL!

sharing a favorite recipe of mine.....

I wanted to do some baking today for a few friends
that need a little lifting up.......
so what better then my favorite quick and easy recipe
to get the job done.

It's from my late great grandmother Rose....

she was so special, a little dynamo......always full of energy and loved to make and create..and this was a recipe that I always treasure...
its quick and easy and everyone loves it....

a few basic ingredients that you probably already have on hand.....

GRANNY ROSE’S APPLE BUCKLE
SLICED APPLES, BLUEBERRIES, PEACHES, CRANBERRIES,
PEARS OR ANY COMBO
I USED APPLES FOR ONE BUCKLE
Blueberries FOR ANOTHER BUCKLE.

IN A BOWL PLACE WASHED AND SLICED APPLE PIECES
I LEFT THE SKIN ON WITH   A Little bit of SUGAR, cinnamon
AND NUTMEG to coat apples,

1 STICK OF BUTTER
1 CUP SUGAR
 1 EGG, 1 cup flour
1 TEASPOON BAKING POWDER
1 TEASPOON VANILLA
PREHEAT OVEN 350.  PLACE FRUIT ON THE BOTTOM OF AN 8X8
OR circle PAN SPRAYED WITH PAM...

IN SAUCE PAN MELT 1 STICK OF BUTTER AND 1 CUP OF SUGAR.
LET COOL A FEW MINUTES
THEN ADD 1 EGG, 1 CUP of FLOUR, 1 TEASPOON OF VANILLA,
AND POUR OVER APPLES  or WHAT EVER FRUIT YOU ARE USING

MAKE A STREUSEL TOPPING
1/3 CUP BISQUICK
 1/3 CUP BROWN SUGAR
 ½ TEASPOON CINNAMON
 2 TABLESPOON BUTTER ROOM TEMPERATURE
MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER AND SPRINKLE OVER TOP.
BAKE AT 350 FOR 45 MIN TO 1 HOUR DEPENDING ON MOISTURE OF FRUIT.

1 recipe will make 2 round buckles..... I made 6 pans so I tripled the recipe...

melt butter and sugar

remove from heat, let cool then add remaining ingredients....

pour over fruit in pan.....

 make  the struesel topping......

sprinkle on top of buckles

and bake.... at 350 for 45- 60 minutes....
makes the whole house  smell yummie......

I add a little whipped topping and some cinnamon....

Granny Rose died at the age of 100 on 9/11 several years back and every time I make this I have a tear thinking of her and what a wonderful grandmother she was.....

thanks Granny  Rose for your yummie recipe and for all the great memories.....I Love you and miss you so much.....

What a perfect day to visit with Brit, Myles's girlfriend who is attending Lafayette College in Easton PA.
the weather was perfect and so were the grounds of the college...Brit gave us the tour and I most say we were really impressed...it's a gorgeous campus......

we took a little drive into town for the farmers market and must say it was really a wonderful town and a wonderful place for a farmers market.... I learned all about pumpkins .like that beauty in the middle called a peanut pumpkin....from the nice people from Scholl Orchards

and the apple shaped pumpkins .........

the tomatoes were fabulous .....

I love how the farmers set up there produce......looks so nice and you want to buy and try everything.....

all I wanted to do was take pictures.......

can't wait to try these tomorrow for dinner.....

the market was right in the center of  Historic Downtown Easton Pa.

I have never seen so many colorful mushrooms....

they are from Primordia Mushroom farm

each mushroom was like a work of art..............

it was great that they provided so many recipe ideas for you to take.....
