Vintage2Glam is my idea of reusing vintage goodies, and turning them into something Glam. I love taking vintage finds, and make them modern with wonderful colors and a vintage twist..... love to incorporate them into my own vintage inspired art an accessories. Pleased to say that my jewelry was worn my Ellen Burstyn in the movie "GRETA" starring Ellen and Hillary Duff filmed in historical town of Ocean Grove N.J.

What a nice day I had teaching... to adults for a change....

Saturday I taught one of my favorite jewelry creations to a lovely group of ladies in Historical Ocean Grove at an art retreat called Creativity by the Sea......we had so much fun.....and I was so proud of my students....they created awesome flowers.....which they incorporated into beautiful necklaces....  It was my pleasure to teach them something that I love to make.

each student created their own colored flower

an added beaded centers.....

and each one was beautiful and unique.....

1st Saturday in Asbury Park NJ March 2012

Went into Asbury Park for 1st Saturday to see the art galleries and get a bite to eat with some friends....
We got a late start and when we got in Asbury we could smell all the great scents coming from all of the restaurants. We tried to find a place to eat, and we tried and tried (should  have made  reservations... next time we will know...) we tried so many places and then landed at  Moonstruck.....we were very nicely surprised... never have been there.....had a great meal, good drinks,  good company,  then to see some art....nothing better....
What an interesting exhibit name.

This piece was so interesting and yet so simple......made with monofilament line with pieces of packing tape adhered to the line and wrapped around screws drilled into different pieces of wood at either end of the room.....the shadows that were cast and the way the light reflected off the tape... simply amazing....

these  2 paintings were so detailed with the most gorgeous colors....then with tiny holes in the little shapes...such time, and patience....

each one must have taken weeks to complete.......

this exhibit interested me...I love to crochet...these were crocheted from plastic bags to look like sea dollies....

they were large like the size of  a pizza pie....

they were attached to 2 walls and wrapped into the corner...

this was very interesting....looked so much like the real thing.....

amazing that they were made of seed pods.....

kind of weird using your hair in your art..... but why not!!!!! its free, its part of you...I think it is kinda interesting...our friends didn't like the idea.

look at this made from hair.............

loved this too!!!! sequins on threads...suspended from threads.....and monofilament....

wish you could see this in person......you can see every line......

love..............
wish I took the information on this artist......

this was one of the pieces from the last show "The Sum of their parts" it freaked me out last show and I was mentioning it to the curator and he said he still had them behind this wall... There they were....FREAKY!!! I was explaining them to my friends and said how strange and beautiful all at the same time....so when the man said they were still around I had to snap a picture.....they were these beautiful heads with amazing eyes attached to a deer like body with very tiny thin legs....

here they are from the last show....such beautiful human heads on these graceful deer like bodies......what do you think?  Do you like them??? or do they FREAK! you out like they do me.....
