What a great class I had today teaching how to curl paper in the gardens of Ocean Grove....
We were busy learning the art of "Paper Quilling" |
the gardens are in perfect condition thanks to Julian the Master Gardener...... |
every spot and every corner is picture perfect...... |
the students started out learning the basic shapes..... |
and once they learned the basic 2 rolls they were able to make so many different shapes..... |
the ladies really got the hang of it and were all enjoying the day....we were lucky....the temperature was so nice compared to the previous week..... |
the tables were filled with colorful papers.... |
once the practice boards were complete the students could create something of their own..... |
or be inspired by the many sample books I had for them..... |
the students all had fun learning how to curl, twirl, roll, pinch and glue thin pieces of paper.... |
Karin created this cute little underwater scene with added paper punch leaves.....Love it! |
My good friend Jeff Rudell an amazing paper artist who lives in Ocean Grove gave me 2 copies of his new book "PAPER BLOOMS" to share with my paper crafters...... |
and the Winner is........... Katie........
and look how great she did in class today..... |
Really had a great day teaching a new craft to
some awesome women.....
have to thank Mary and Julian for all their help in setting up and preparing for these classes....
I love the little fish picture! So cute. I remember quilling when I was younger, but I haven't had a go for ages! Maybe I should buy some equipment!
