Party Cupcakes......

I was trying to come up with a interesting way to make 

cupcakes for a party.......

I saw a cupcake book that had a cupcake that looked

 like a tropical drink 

and that's what I decided to make....

I went to the dollar store looking for little drink umbrellas and straws but was happy to find  these straws with the umbrella already attached.....

I baked my cupcakes, both chocolate and lemon.......

used my handy pastry bag with a mega tip

and frosted the tops......lemon cake with lemon icing...hoping it is light and refreshing on this HOT weekend.....

I LOVE them...what do you think??

 

so happy I took a peek at that cupcake book....

forgot to tell you that I also but candies fruit slices on them as well.....

now onto the next batch.....I tinted the icing a turq color to be the ocean..

piped the cupcakes to look like waves....

then added Swedish fish.....

 Can't wait to try them later tonight....Hoping they are Delicious....
